Topsy-Turvy was created by Robert Harbin and detailed in the Magic of Robert Harbin. Owners of this book are authorized to build and perform the illusion.
An assistant enters an upright cabinet from the side. The side is closed and a front panel is opened showing she is standing with little room inside. Her shoes protrude from the bottom and a spectator checks to make sure her feet inside are real. The front panel is closed and she is turned on her side by means of a pivot point (a center pedestal). Her feet are still visible and the spectator once again checks to be sure they are real. The assistant is then flipped over on her head and her feet are at the top of the cabinet. They are verified to be real. The magician then yells "Now!" and the shoes disappear, the door opened, and the assistant is immediately shown to be standing right side up on the other side.
