Double Boxes

Double Boxes
Illusion Main Category
Long Description

Designer: The Great Leon

The Double Boxes were a precursor to today's "Backstage with a Magician" illusion. A table supported two empty boxes. The smaller box was placed inside the larger and covered on top with a wooden frame housing a piece of paper. Leon would fire a pistol and the assistant (Edythe Packard) would burst through the paper lid.1
