The Carta Sub Trunk is a unique twist on the substitution trunk designed by Italy’s Paolo Carta and Tim Clothier. An industrial metal trunk is shown, it has an open framework on the front allowing the audience a view inside.The Magician climbs into the trunk and is secured inside a sack. The audience can see the magician in the sack through the front of the trunk. The assistant stands on top of the trunk and holds out a curtain that only covers her, down to the lid of the trunk. The curtain is thrown and the Magician and assistant instantly switch places. The Magician opens the sack, which has been in view the entire time, and a different assistant is inside. The second assistant exits the trunk which is now seen to be empty. In a flash, the lid of the trunk is lifted off and the sides fall down (much like a blammo box) and the original assistant has reappeared.

The illusion is constructed from aluminum with 3 front design options. Includes sack, curtain and Paolo Carta performance rights.
